Doug how does this compare to the Weaver Extremes with illumination?
What more known brand/model would you compare it to at low light?

As I am not a Weaver Dealer, I cannot really say. These just arrived and I just checked them out. Optically I am very impressed. The turret clicks are a little soft, but not horrible. Overall as a $500.00 scope this would be a deal, but at this $299.99 it's a down right steal.

These are some amazing deals. I just spoke with Doug, and he doesn't have the time to get it on the website right now, but he also has the 1.5-6x42 for 289.99, also a smoking deal. The 1.5-6x42 makes for as versatile of a deer hunting scope as most of us will ever need. Don't miss out on this opportunity or you'll regret it later!

Is the illumination adjustable so that it doesn’t wash everything out in low light (from being too bright)?

Is the illumination adjustable so that it doesn’t wash everything out in low light (from being too bright)? Yes, it is. Burris definitely got this one right. The dot is larger than I like, but everything else, from the terrific resolution to the low-light performance, has impressed me so far. I don't think I've ever bought that much optical performance for that low of a price. I hope Doug gets more of these in, but they've been out of production a long while now.
