No guarantee, but I bet it's a prostaff. I think all of the "specials" (active target special, coyote special) were prostaffs. This likely is as well.

I seen this also but was cautious because it had no model printed on the front objective? Not a fake Nikon but what is it?

Search the product number (16559). There are lots of places selling it and lots of reviews. Much like the Savage package Nikon 3-9x40's, I don't think you'll get any confirmation that it is a ProStaff but lots of speculation that it is a ProStaff.

Couple years ago item 16337 I believe
3-9×40 bdc
It was a rerelease 1st gen pro staff with coin slot adjustment and metal caps and
lock ring ocular
Retro in a plain brown card board box.
Had really good reviews all over the web

99 bucks.... academy and dicks mostly that carried em for that black Friday event

Black Friday scopes 2015 or 2016 in think

You can still find em on the web for 109 to 179 =original msrp eye candy price

This scope is probably similar except with finger adjustments and plastic caps
and the lock ring ocular.

Everyone nowadays wants fast focus ocular.

Yes, it was item # 16337 in a plain cardboard box. 3X9X40 with BDC reticle.
I picked one up at Dicks, it was 2016 I believe, for $75. They said it was a Prostaff but I had my doubts, so I called Nikon and they verified it was.
Went back the following day and bought another one, pretty good deal.
