Well that sucks...

It's open season here, year round on those Black Bandits...

What's the barrel length on that 6mmBR? What do you think of the 30BR? Just came across that one the other day.

Not trying to divert (all) attention from 6mm BR's, but do the techniques mentioned here also apply to .22 BR's?

I'm interested in both the .22 BR and 6mm BR.

I'd like to eventually get a 22BR and a 30BR to complete the trifecta. Hard not to like a family of cartridges that is blessed with extreme accuracy...

Thanks. Stuff I'm been reading says the 30BR can be accurate out to about 600 yards, used for big game (deer size at least but with today's premium bullets I think any big game in the lower 48 is not safe) varmints. The other thing I like is that any length barrel from 21" to 24" is good with the 24" having a slight edge in the velocity department. I'm a .308Win. fan and have a model 700 in .308Win. it should not be that hard to convert the 700 to 30BR. I see you have kept your 700 (your rifle looks like a 700) a repeater. How do I get the kit to keep my 700 in 30BR a repeater?

I was torn between the 6mmBR and the 30BR. I chose the 6BR to start with. Will probably do the 30 next...

I`m getting all lined up to add the 22BR version to my arsenal. I picked up a Krieger #4 with 7.7" twist a few months back.
I will try the 75 grain A-Max`s first and work down in weight to see if the accuracy holds up. I been promoting the 6BR when I first had mine done, I hope some of that helped push some over the edge....... smile I have 2 6BR barrels a 12" twist and a 8.5" twist. They are darlings, but to heavy for anything but a bench, this #4 22BR will be a great crow duster. Cannot wait for things to line up.

You should be happy with the 22BR. Bob Milek was hot on them a number of years ago, so I had one built. It is a shooter, 3 shots into 3/8" at 100 yards. It's a sporter, not a bench rifle.

Looks like somebody would (Remington??) come out with a line of BR cartridges in a factory rifle line. I could see a demand for 22Br, 6mmBR, 7mmBR & a 30BR...
