I have mixed feelings about this.

While we have to fight tooth and nail unrelentingly, I have to wonder what good it does to pour money at some states.

They know that they pass unconstitutional gun laws. They know they won't hold up in the upcoming court battles. But, they do it anyway...

When their law is struck down there's no consequences for them. They just say Oh well, we tried.

Then the next day they introduce even worse legislation.

I'm a member of both the NRA & GOA. I'd rather they spend the money where we know it will do some good. But, it's such a massive battle, I admit I don't know the best plan of attack as far as location.

If we'd have never lost CA what a different position we'd be in, but nobody GAF.

Fighting the fight where it's at is the only way this will be won.

The first step is dropping the pronoun "they".

So MCH, what makes you think I'm NOT fighting the fight? Just cuz so many say run to another state is the answer, what is wrong with standing flat footed and fighting. I've Never run from from a fight in my life. Been knocked down a few times but the guy that knocked me down didn't do it for free. Same with standing up for our our gun laws. Some times you have to brave the cold and the left loonies at the court house or the government state house. But if you sit on your hands and pizz n moan on the computer about our rights going away and not joining your local gun club legislature group than your a real pussy.

I'm thinking no state is safe.

Especially with these red flag laws.

It's gonna get much worse before it gets better.

I know the gun rights groups chose their battles now. I'm just not sure how they select which battle.

OK MCH, They are open, maybe I misread your post but I think you get the gist of my post in that we need to stop bitching and start working more with our local pro gun legislators.Instead of spending that $50 on another knife, spend it on some pro gun program. I'm really on your side MCH.

Part of the left’s strategy is to simply overload the systems with too many issues to attack en masse. We could clearly see this during the obama years, especially with the DOJ, fbi, irs, etc, etc,. so many little brushfires and constantly start new ones.

Ya know Toot, there are more of us then there are of them it's just that they are more organized. We can get our groups to file just as many lawsuits as they can. It's no big deal.

Latest polls say there are still more Conservatives than liberals in the country.

I agree but the PC police have been very effective and then there’s the apathy aspect and people just too lazy to vote. Trump’s election showed what can happen when you awaken the sleeping giant. But memories are short.

That was my whole point and not direct at you. Just you said the right words for me to quote. Hence why I said not doubting you.

When I lived in CT everyone said oh not our problem. When Sandy Hook happened again, not our problem. Will never happen in xyz states. As populations grow people look to move not only pro 2nd people but anti's as well. Everyone can say they aren't welcomed in XYZ states but guess what they are entitled to live anywhere they choose in the US. Anti's love living in the XYZ's, everything it offers us hunters and fisherman, it offers them outdoor recreation. Liberals love outdoor recreation. I donate plenty of my money to gun rights and hunting organizations. But in my eyes anyways I do something a little more. I am very heavy into the outdoors. I come in contact with a lot of anti's and people on the fence. I show them, teach them, and expose them to the truth. Of course not everyone is going to just change their mind. But I do all I can do.

I met a lady in Asia from NYC. She was backpacking around Asia and diving. One night at the dive resort we were all sitting around and an English gentleman started to tell a story about hunting in Africa. The look on her face said more than any words could ever. After he told his story she began giving him all she could. Than she walked away. I got up and went and talk to her. I told her that hunters are what brings in money to protect the animals from poachers. I told her that the meat is given usually to the villages. I told her that hunters are as concerned about the animals as she is. I didn't expect her to really even listen to me. But evidently she did. When I left that resort to go dive somewhere else she gave me her number and said call me when you are back in the states. So about six months later I called her. She was surprised I actually did. Anyways after exchanging travel stories, I asked her if she would go shooting with me. She said sure I'll try it. So I took her to shoot sporting clays on a really soft course. I showed her how to handle the gun, load and unload the gun. After my safety brief with her. She began shooting targets. I don't remember how many but at least the first five clays she missed. I could see the frustration on her face. But I wanted her to see it isn't easy if you don't know what you are doing. I stopped her. Gave her a hold spot and a rough breaking spot. Told her to keep the gun moving at the same speed as the target. She started breaking clays and the big bright smile came on her face. So I let enjoy the moment. Then on to a harder target presentation. Anyways we shot or I should say she shot 250 rounds that day.

A few weeks later I get a call from her. She asked if I had any handguns and if I would take her shooting them. Sure enough I would love to. Anyways long story short she shoots now, she isn't interested in hunting. But Joined the NRA and GOA, bought a pistol and a shotgun and has been shooting ever since. That is only one person, I have exposed many people that were anti or on the fence to guns. Not all the huge success story as she, but I do all I can to expose the truth and show them the fun in it.

I'll keep two Benchmade knives I own. But I will not buy another. Gun destroyed nation wide working or not could be sold to law abiding citizens. Monies can go to Mental Heath, Battered Women Shelters, or Lupus Research... etc...

I was reading another forum where a poster asked how gun owners would feel if they knew the firearms they had enjoyed hunting and collecting over their lifetime and upon his death all his guns were handed over to an individual who wholesales estates for a fraction of there value? The OP’s hope is that his beloved firearms would be passed down through his kids with some being sorted between extended family member...This post didn’t catch my attention.

This post from a guy in Britain did...He said that upon the death of a person legally owning firearms in Britain the law requires all his weapons be turned in to the authorities to be destroyed. He further said that in 1997 when Britain made handguns illegal. The authorities confiscated his revolvers, including a very nice Webley and destroyed them. 22 years later crimes with a pistol are higher than they have ever been...His finale words were; Be Warned America by the example of Britain.

We should have learned from Britain in the 1700s but schools don’t apparently teach that much nowadays.

Not doubting you. But this is what a lot of people say, yet where are they now fighting for our rights? Too many guys say oh well I don't live in that state. Or it will never happen in this state. Shouldn't live wherever. By time it comes to them taking guns it's too late.

This^^^^^^^^^^

We need to be pouring resources and money into battle ground states.

I moved to a battleground state.

Waiting for the rest of you clowns to show up.

But leaving Montana is creating another one there. Coming soon.

Even I can't be everywhere.

Hey folks, thinking of helping ol' Trav out?

Don't rush to Florida yet,

we need help here too.

And we have warm temperatures too, it was just about freezing this morning. So leave those really cold States and come to California. Bring your 2A supporting relatives too.

AND MONEY, LOT"S OF F"N $$$$$

We can retake this state!

Geno

PS just don't be pushing for offshore oil exploration. We're already through with that, plenty of oil coming out of the ground already. And we LOVE our beaches.

PPS How many bikini clad babes do think would want to show up on an oil coated beach?
