This is truly THE reference book on the Mosin Nagant rifle. It is nearly 700 pages long and loaded with pictures. It covers the development, production, modernization and use of these rifles, the most mass produced rifle ever with some 37 million being produced. Fortunately the photos have English descriptions as the book otherwise is in Russian. I doubt I'll ever learn the language so at least the photos can be appreciated.
Some really unusual and generally unknown variations are shown- including rifles modified for flame thrower usage and for mine clearing. Signal mortar modifications, even attachments to launch German Panzerfaust heads were also designed.
This is a very interesting book.
