Excellent stock work on some dandy wood. Very fine. Who is K.P.?

Really a beauty but out of my league at the moment. Thanks for the offer.

WOW! GSP really nice.
I am currently working on a #3. I found a set of semi-inletted wood on gunbroker for cheap and currently at the fine tuning stage of fitting the stock. The forearm was the beaver tail style which I cut off about 5" and glued on a piece of ebony. Can't fit the forearm until I get a new barrel. I am planning on ordering a Douglas barrel in 257 Roberts since I have a bunch of reloading components for it already.
I am also teaching myself checkering. I have most of the tools already and have been pouring over Monty Kennedy's book and practicing on scrap walnut.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm thinking of having another one done on a Winchester Hi Wall in 25-35

Thanks for the compliments. I'm thinking of having another one done on a Winchester Hi Wall in 25-35 That would really float my boat although I would consider a low wall also and then agonize over to AI or not. I would consider having RJ Renner do his magic on the stock and turn it into a Western classic version of a stalking rifle. He modifies No. 1s to ejector only and works them down in weight to levels I didn't think possible on the Ruger.

I've read that the AI version of the 25-35 doesn't work well when fire forming original brass as it's to thin. Maybe a 30-30 AI would be in order. I'd have the same smith do the work that did the Ruger and several bolt rifles. This one would have a half round half octagon barrel.
I did a stalking rifle on a VZ 24 action a year ago in what else 275 Rigby:)

I would also use the #1. As an aside, not many folks know that it’s safety not only locks the trigger, but mechanically blocks the hammer.

Has anyone seen the newly manufactured high wall actions? I don't recall who is making them but I think it's a western company.
