It is not often that I find a new author that I like as much as some of my favorites, Vince Flynn, Tom Clancy, Stephen Hunter, Brad Thor, Wilbur Smith, Larry Bond, Tony Park, Michael Connolly, David Baldacci. With Wilbur, Tom and Vince being co-authored (Wilbur due to advanced age, Tom and Vince due to death), finding a new author is very welcome.
Jack Carr is a former Navy SEAL who has started a second career as an author. Co-writing with Keith Wood, he has woven a taunt thriller that will keep you turning pages one after another.
The protagonist, James Reece, is a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy SEALS who has lost his troop in combat, his job and his family. Trying to piece together how everything he loved could have been taken from him, Reece learns that he has been caught in a massive international conspiracy of greed and power that threatens his life. With nothing left to live for and believing he is dying from a brain tumor, Reece begins to use his warrior skills to terminate the conspirators that were on his list.
I learned of this novel a few months back when the co-author, a member from this forum, advised that they had worked very hard to make the book as true to life (guns, techniques, tactics etc) as possible. I am looking forward to the next book, "True Believer" coming out later this year.
I am glad that I searched out "The Terminal List" and I'm sure you will be too.

Mark Greany is another great author that runs along this same genres. Jeff Rovin and George Galdorisi have taken up the Tom Clancy Novels and are pretty good yarn telling lads themselves.
I'd rather die in a BAD gunfight than a GOOD nursing home.

My order is in for "True Believer".
