Does anyone have any opinions or experience with either the Mauser 98 or Highland Stalker ? Does anyone prefer one over the other?

If I Was getting a smaller cal. like 8x57 , I would prefer the 'Highland Stalker' pattern.

Both are nice rifles but if you are ready to drop that much coin you should consider a custom. A good Smith can put together a very nice rifle that may suit you better. If you are buying for the brand I would likely go with the Rigby.

Love me some 98s, but the current M03s are pretty stunning too for a lot less coin, if that's a factor at all. If not, by all means soldier on, I love watching others spend money, mainly 'cause I ain't got any!
