Pick up one of the Lyman turret presses?

Wouldn't that depend on what you're using already??

If you are going to upgrade, why not go big and go Blue?

Currently using a 40 year old Rockchucker. Uses would be primarily rifle loading and a couple of handgun loads.

What I'm loading for is for rifles. From a 223 up to 358 winchester. For targets (paper and steel) as well as small game, deer, elk, moose, antelope.

I have the Redding turret press.
I also have a rockchucker.
The turret press makes loading for multiple rifles easy and quick.
The Lyman looks worth checking out. I don’t prime on press, so the more open front of the Lyman would be a positive, it is cheaper and an extra hole in the turret.
I have not seen any spare turrets priced so not sure on availability.

Blue is great but for the specific purpose of loading for multiple rifles, Blue is going to be more expensive.

Thoughts on the one from MEC? Looks like a slight blending of the floating head of the co-ax and a Lyman/Lee/RCBS 'C' press.

I personally don't care for turret presses. They work great when brand new but as soon as they get a bit of wear the turret head cocks sideways every time you apply pressure creating undesired run-out

The Forster Co-Ax self aligns rather nicely even after many years of use and changing dies only takes seconds

You could go old school. I have two CH Presses, one's at least 40 years old and still going strong.

I can appreciate Hardin Precision Rifles response at the bottom of the link......" I have never seen a center bolt turret press that did not have deflection during reloading" My experience with the Redding T7 mimics Hardin Precisions

While I agree the press will load 1,000,000 rounds I would be far more impressed if it did so with a bit more precision. If a reloader is not an accuracy nut however it would make a great press. JMO

I borrowed a hornady run out tool to see if I was getting straight ammo off the t7.

Latest round measures lless than .002 measured just shy of the ogive.

I will try a few others but it looks acceptable.

Yeah. Sierra Bullets probably isn't too concerned about precision.
