Anybody got any build or upgrade pictures using a McMillan Hunter stock, the Sako style Remington 700? Would really like to see some forearm pictures with factory magnum barrel contour or something close, as well as pictures of the complete rifle.

I’ve got one that looks quite similar to the 300WSM above, only mine is a Rem 700 SS custom rebarreled and chambered in 240 weatherby.
If you want a pic, pm me your phone num and I’ll text it or your e mail and I’ll e mail it.
I like the stock, a lot.

I have a Winchester New Hunter pattern on my M70 Classic Stainless .35 Whelen. The only thing I don't like is that it is fat wristed. I think the Sako Hunter is more svelte in this region, though I've never fondled one.

Thanks guys. I tried to copy from memory the color combination from a blue/cloudy looking stock from one of the McM threads but the photobucket debacle made it impossible. I ended up going 50% medium blue 25% lt gray and 25% black. It's not as cool as the stock I remember but it did come out nice.

The color is actually Brownells teflon/moly in dark parkerizing. My g-smith was doing a bunch of other guns in that color and offered a freebie. A no brainer for me and it goes well with the stock.

It hasn't been tried on deer yet so I don't know if the blue will scare them off first. grin Doesn't bother coyotes.

Keystone Accuracy Green Mountain Origin prefit and what he calls Magnum sporter contour with 3/4” shank. Loving the contour as it’s a little slimmer than the Bart 2b.
