Trying a Bushnell LRHS 4.5-18 on the fast twist 22/250, damn that is a big scope but I love it so far.
Problem is that the Sportsmatch rings I usually prefer don't give it enough support for my liking.
I reckon I need an extended rail and some rings
What is low, strong and cheap if that is possible?

I wouldn’t like that either. I’d take a look at a warne mountain tech rail and rings.

With your scope mounted that far forward you're not going to find much of anything thats much better IMO.

Here's the same scope mounted on my Creedmoor

You have a great rifle and an awesome scope, take the word cheap out of the criteria. ..............

EGW makes a good quality rail thats extended and not too high.

I think the scope is too long and you'll never be satisfied, please send to me for my CTR. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies
That Talley extended rail, or similar looks to be what I need thanks Jordan, is it steel or aluminium?
EGW look to make a similar extended rail that may be a bit lower, has anyone used one, are they any good?

I suppose I don't see why it doesn't have enough support. It's not like that tube will flop like a wet noodle.

It’s aluminum.

The EGW rails are about the same as Talley, IME. The Weaver tactical extended rails are also pretty good.

I'd take low height over "strength" of spread rings.

Height is something I can work with via comb riser or stock pack, etc, but the maximally spaced rings provide a real benefit on a scope of that length in reducing POI “zero” shifts from the scope being bumped.
