I went and looked up the average velocities for my groups:

62.5 grns - 3505 fps
63.0 grns - 3527 fps
63.5 grns - 3536 fps (Barnes book velocity is 3524)

Hunter is a great powder in the 270.

The Barnes manual lists the load of 59.5grs of Rel 19 with a 130gr TSX at 3211 fps out of a 24" Bbl. I am using this same load of powder with the Barnes 129gr LRX in my 24" bbl . . Since the LRX has a longer boat tail & a longer nose it has less of the bullet body ( shorter ) in contact with the rifling than the 130gr TSX, therefore less friction . This means a higher velocity. Before I accidentally shot my old chrono it gave a reading very close to Barnes manual with a 58.5 gr load of Rel 19. All things considered I feel my current chrono reading to be accurate. My trajectory out to my 200 & 300 yd target corresponds almost exactly to the Barnes trajectory chart based on a BC of .469. I have also compared velocities with my new chrono with velocities recorded with my old chrono with two other rifles. Velocities with my new chrono are right in line with what I recorded with my old chrono. See no reason to dispute my current readings.

Mine's a 24" barrel, Barnes data has been pretty close to what I've got. Sounds like a great load.

I agree M1. My loads with my 24"go right along with Barnes 24" Bbl loads. I Have noticed a slightly flatter trajectory on my 200 & 300 yd targets. Can't access my 400 & 500 yds targets right now because of snow but have observed slightly flatter trajectories with other rifles in past years. I believe this has to do with my high elevation of 7630. Still to much snow for me to try this new load out long range Maybe in a week or so .Love this 129 gr LRX. Accurate & flat. Appears to be a real winner.
