LGS has one in .25 with a decent Hammers 3-9 AO scope on it. Technically used but perfect condition. Advertised at 650 fps with lead. Gas piston. Basic trigger. The setup with about 500 rounds of crow magnums for $125
Seems like it would be effective out to 30-40 yards (I'm sure it drops a lot) and a good alternative to any of the box store .22s
Anyone shoot them, and can give a thumbs up or down?

I checked Pyramid Air and they list it for $99 scoped but you'd still pay for shipping and pellets. $125 isn't out of line.
I haven't even shot a Hatsan yet so I have no first hand experience with them but the reviews are mostly positive for their 25 cal gas piston gun.
Your local sporting goods store probably doesn't have any .25 cal pellets, mine don't so i order several hundred at a time.
Holler if you want to try a 25 cal pellets sampler from Straight Shooters, I know what mine likes now so these are surplus.
The 25 pellet does drop faster than my 22 or 20 but if you have enough hold over dots or dial your scope they work well to 100yds.
Breaking clays is easy at 100yds but they get there slowly... They thump prairie dogs nicely though.
Let us know what you decide!

Well I bought it, and it definitely hits my trap with a heavy "thunk". Crow magnums are a tight squeeze in the chamber and don't quiiiiite fit in all the way - I saw a little drag mark on the back end of the skirt when I checked. I'm probably the first person to shoot it - its loaded with grease. If I get a chance this weekend ill strip it down and see how it groups. I like it. know what this means though - I'm gonna want a bigger .25...! ha ha
Also, the trigger is fine, and it isn't that hard to cock. Heavy, sure, but not a bear. From what I had read I was expecting worse on both counts.
