Musky fishing has always been on my bucket list. Problem is I'm in Florida:(
Looking at a trip far north for a trip next year maybe. Not even sure what states and areas to start looking. Advice?

Eagle Lake Ontario. Temple Bay Lodge for a top of the line musky gig.

If all you want is a four footer and saving some money is good, PM me.

All I'd know about is NW Ontario. The Eagle Lake area should be good.

I've fished Eagle Lake and it is big with some good sized waves. We were not after musky, but I've sure had better walleye and nothern fishing other places up there. A guide would sure be a plus there. Wisconsin has lots of musky, but most people think that they are all up in northern Wisconsin. Our DNR has been stocking the Bay of Green Bay for years with musky and one of my biggest surprises ever was when I was slow going up and down the Fox River between the Bay and De Pere dam putting some break in hours on a new outboard and guys were catching musky all over around me. There was a picture in the paper a year or two back of a guy holding a 50 plus incher with the Leo Frigo bridge in the background. Not the forest primeval with a couple of paper mills and a city on the banks, but there are some monster fish in that river.

You might not have to go too far north. Check Ky221s Musky posts. Kentucky seems to be as good a place to catch a Musky as anywhere.

Can’t help with Canada. But if you don’t mind KY, fishing isn’t horrible.
