I shot my second deer with a Win '92 SRC in .25-20. In 1952. I shot my first deer with a Win Model 37 .410 slug in 1951. Still have both guns, although a lot of others have come and gone.
Full disclosure: these were both little blacktail "meat bucks" shot from my Mom's hayloft while eating windfall apples. Range was about 25-30 yards, if that. But they didn't go anywhere except into the freezer....
