Whatcha y'all recommend for 22 pellets, accuracy wise? I've been shooting Crossman 14.3 grainers, cause my local hardware store sells them. I want to try something that should be a decent quality pellet, and I'm sure I'll have to order them, but that's OK.

JSB Exacts are purty fhuqking forgiving,in all diameters and in all platforms.

Those Crosman's are surprisingly good, easy to find and inexpensive. If they are working for you, why change? Unless you are looking for a wadcutter to punch paper.

The less you "do" or "know"...the "better" it is.

Nothing wrong with trying different pellets. They may be worse, they may be better, but I'll never know. And good enough is not good enough for me.

The 18 grain JSB is a very good choice in most 22 caliber rifles. Another rule of thumb is to keep the velocity below 900fps in most rifles.
You could be pushing the 14 grainers a bit too fast, and a heavier pellet would slow things down a bit. Again there are many variables.
My go to pellet in 22 is the 18G JSB, and think they are spitting out of my AA500SL at 600fps or so. Even at this low velocity, the 18s shoot better than the 16 grain JSB.
My AA500 has a hammer spring adjustment, so I have it cranked back to get more shots per refill.
Beyond my personal experience, I read JSB most popular pellet in 22 is 18 grain.

I think Straightshooters.com still does a pellet sample pack. They put a couple dozen pellets of different makes and styles in a package and sell them. Cheaper than buying a tin of each.

They charged me $17 shipping for the last sampler I bought for a .25 cal gas ram. I wasn't happy about that shipping rate...

You might do as well to figure out 4 different pellets to test and get them from Pyramid, buy 4 pay for 3.
The JSB pellets have worked very well in a couple of rifles and the JSB non lead are more expensive but have shot really well in one of mine, your needs may be a bit different than mine.. Good luck, let us know what you figure out!

What are you using them to do?
If the 14.3s are working for ya, ya may want to stick with them, they are reasonably priced.
Be aware there are 3 different 14.3s and one usually shoots better than the other two (domed).

RWS 34. I'm plinking, knocking off some black birds, etc. I just want to see if one pellet shoots better than another.

The Crossman Premier 14.3's in the "cardboard box" worked best for me.

Accuracy is one thing, but how hard they hit something is another in my experience with my much slower pump up Sheridan .20 caliber. As a kid I shot the heck out of those standard domed Sheridan pellets and stuff was seldom DRT. I remember one crow that winged it a couple blocks over and came down on a guys roof. He likely suspected the west nile virus instead of an adolescent neighbor with a Sheridan. I started using the Beeman Crow Magnum pellets and never looked back. I never shot them for accuracy because they sure grew up that Sheridan as a game getter.

The flat points, neither JSB or Benji flew worth a flip and were a waste of money in the Marauder and the FX.
