I can't say what Toyota was thinking.....but I'm thinking they engineered it right and no one complains about it except for folks who've never been around one.

I've chunked busted concrete into one a friend owns and wouldn't have done the same to a steel bed (without some type of liner).

I have a homemade rubber mat that fits my Tacoma bed. I believe it used to be papermill conveyor belt. Just the right size. Heavy though.

I like the Tacoma bed design overall, considering the materials, the tie-down system, and the storage areas.

It's been that way since 2005, almost 15 years now. Maybe that's why it's the best selling truck.

Don't just be a survivor, be a competitor.
