Using same in my Ruger American in .223....... Had several fail to fires... primer strikes seem shallow.
While reloading the cases I also found out that they have crimped primer pockets! Was not happy to find that, but fixed them and moved on.
I’m assuming Hornaday is using hard primers and crimps for the AR users to reduce any slam fire potential.....
Anyone had a similar issue using this ammo? It’s in both full metal and soft point versions.

It's being loaded by Lake City so yes, it's loaded for AR's. I've only fired a box or so of them, but all went bang without issue. They were the 62 gr SP and I ran them through an AR.

I had this same issue today, Rem 700 with Frontier 55gr SP ammo. Rifle shot 2 other brands with out issue, but had 4 soft primer strikes out of 20, and the Frontier worked good with 2 different semiautos.
