I recently bought an older used Hobart/Kitchen Aid stand mixer and would like to know of parts / attachments interchangeability.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Call the mfgr. smile

We had an older Kitchen Aid mixer, not that old, and it would not interchange with some of the new Kitchen Aid attachments. Wife wanted the newer model, son overheard her saying she wanted a new one, so they bought her a new one for Christmas......a Cuisinart. She didn't have the heart to tell them that what she was REALLY wanting was the newer Kitchen Aid. The Cuisinart is okay, but it doesn't have certain attachments that she was after.

I've worn out 2 good old Hamilton Beach stand mixers and am currently using #3 ( Big Sunbeam
which I got from my kids for Christmas a couple years ago) I hope it wears out so I can get a Kitchen Aid. Always wanted one.

DOes anyone know which mixer is used on Master Chef (tv show)? It doesn't look like anything I have seen before.

Yep. Picked our Pro 600 up at a specialty kitchen store, refurbished.
Has, I think, a 575 watt motor, and a 6 qt bowl.

Wal-Marts version is 200 and some watts, 4 at bowl. Sis-in-law has that one.
She and the wife make peanut butter eggs together, once at her house.
They had her mixer so hot, it shut down.

Ours will mix that putty all day, no problem.
Double batch chocolate chip. Mixes easy, could do at least one more in the bowl.
Grinder? Have put deer through it as fast as you could feed it (small throat)
Plenty of power, never gets hot.
