Gents, I bought one on a whim once I read it can handle .38-55 loads, but then read another article saying it couldn’t handle the .38-55 pressures after I bought it...
Can someone on here clear this up before I try some through it?
Hope I can, that was the main reason I decided to buy it.
Thanks in advance

The .375 Winchester is a much higher pressured round than the 38-55. It is basically the other way around.

FWIW......…….actual .375 Win ammo is now pretty readily available and reasonably priced...………..at least for the time being.

What I read was I couldn’t use .38-55 +P loads for sure in my 375.
I think the standard.38-55 are okay, well from what I read

This is from an American Hunter article...

The .375 Win. (left) was intended as a modern rendition on the old .38-55 Win. (right). A .38-55 cartridge will fit in a .375 chamber, however, its longer length makes it dangerous to shoot in a .375. The .375’s high pressure makes it dangerous to shoot in a rifle chambered in .38-55.
