Hillary won 51 of Boise's 94 precincts.

I am not a resident but spend several months a year in that great state and have seen most of it. My choice would be somewhere between Salmon and Leadore. I have yet to meet an unfriendly person there and the terrain is breathtaking.

Pfffttt.....I have been east to west...north to south in Idaho.

No amount of money could get me to live there.

The interstates are crowded with drivers that make Montanan's look like pro rally drivers and the speed limit on the two lanes is 9 miles per hour. 9!

Its fugging awful.

One of the funniest things about Boise is how people uproot their entire existence to move there, but are too stupid to learn to pronounce the name of the place they frikken live... Grandpa used to say lots of space could be cleared for good folks if you went through the state and every dumbazz heard saying "Boyzee" was summarily escorted to the border and forbidden to return.

Over 7 %state income tax. That would keep me from moving there. Idaho is almost as bad as Utah about taxes. From what I have seen I like Ashton Idaho area. Idaho also has way less public lands I wouldn’t like that either.

I truly believe that by two Presidental elections from now that Boise will be Blue. There are just too many Liberals, Latinos, Middle Eastern, and African immigrant populations (brought in by the Churches) that the tide is inevitable. With the growing Latino populations all across the Snake River plain (southern Idaho), and the African Immigrant and Middle Eastern population that is growing there it is inevitable.

Going to Boise now is more like going to California than being in Idaho.

Cambridge would be a nice place if you didn't need a job. Excellent hunting, a short drive to various reservoirs on the Snake for fishing. Not many people.

Any city with more than 2 stop lights is too large.

You guys have got to learn to quit blaming other states and look at the problem as a whole. Hillary won the popular vote, they are increasing in numbers, sooner or later they move and effect every state, just like they did CA.

Liberals chases wages and weather to CA, now they run to Texas and CO for low taxes and jobs. Unless we somehow get a hold on the education system, EVERY state will be overrun. Just look at how liberalized the whole country has become compared to forty years ago, now tell me why the country will stop moving in that direction?
Gay marriage? Thirty years ago, not on your life, now damned near anywhere. Legalized pot? Same thing. It isn’t just a few states, it is the country as a whole moving in that direction. Educators are the same in every state!

Well, there is Atomic City, idaho - thinking maybe a place could be bought cheaply there.

Atomic City was called "Midway" until 1950, as it is halfway between the towns of Blackfoot and Arco. The town had a larger population when the neighboring Idaho National Laboratory site was newer, known as the "National Reactor Testing Station" until 1975.

There is one store and one bar in Atomic City; the store no longer sells gasoline, due to new laws pertaining to its underground gas tanks. Most of the people who were raised in the town are now deceased, and many of the current residents are retired. There is an RV park on the south end of town with full hook-ups, and stock car races are held in the summer.

Not too crowded either. -
As of the census of 2000, there were 25 people, 16 households, and 7 families residing in the city.

Obama brought a bunch of Somali, Sudanese, and Arab refugees into Boise and Twin Falls. Liberal areas are Sun Valley and Driggs/teton area. Home prices in Boise have tripled in recent years due to the number of Californians moving in. Boise was a great place to live 15 or more years ago.

Southern Idaho does have a lot of migrants and farm workers. Some places are still pretty awesome depending on what you're looking for. Taxes aren't really that low here. 6% sales tax on everything you buy even food and Amazon. Almost 8% income tax. Property tax isn't terrible depending on the town and county.

Salmon is a bit isolated but has good hunting, fishing, and recreation with enough stores to find what you need.
