Do you have any vintage cartridge or bullet boxes? I have a partial box of 130 grain. Id swap for a couple old boxes for the man cave.

Last November I shot a moose at about 240 yards using 7mm Mag weatherby vanguard S2 handloaded 160gr Trophy Bonded Tipped
behind H1000, at 3057 fps double lunged bull and complete pass thru. Hunting partner shot his moose with same 7mm Mag using
federal 160gr Nosler Partitions, he also double lunged his moose, bullet recovered under hide on far side perfect mushroom. also at 240 yards
they were standing together. Very impressed with bullet performance, stocked up on more bullets. Going back to Canada in 2020 on another moose hunt.

Dammit.

I took my moose with 150 gr Partitions out of a 300 Savage, at 65 yards. Both bullets were recovered, same story as above.
Bull moose #4 at that camp, was taken with a single 180 gr Partition out of a 300 Win Mag, thru the lungs. Complete pass thru at about 200 yards.
The hunt was in Newfoundland.

Cool stuff. Moose taken with mirror image results. With possibly the most notorious premium bullet, the Partition, and the brand new Tipped Trophy Bonded. The 300 Savage carries a bunch of cool factor too I might add.

None of the moose went far after the initial shot. In all cases, slowly walking, no running. A matter of a few feet, fairly easy second shots that were not necessary, but.... you know how that goes. Interesting that all 3 of us shooters took that 2nd shot.
We were using Argos, in river bottom country. The only real threat to recovery was the running river. The hillsides were reasonably accessible.
Interesting to note that 2 different guides were involved. In none of these situations did they start hooting and hollering for follow up shots.
I have experienced excitable guides that seemed to damn near panic at the first shot, including one that put a bullet through the hind quarter of a BC bull moose some years ago.

In my case the second Moose went about 75 yards the other went about 10 yards. First Moose was hit twice, first with the Nosler
Partition and second with a unknown bullet. I mistakenly shot at the first moose also, that moose had second hole in it about 6" from
the Nosler Partition under hide, other bullet was a complete pass thru. Moose sort of took a couple steps and fell down. Guide was yelling shoot the other moose
which I had no seen, tunnel vision, anyway looked over 25 yards and there stood another moose. Shot one at 240 yards, forgot to turn scope up
it was still early morning but 4x or 5 would have been better. Shot and moose jumped and took off running shot again on the run and hit it in right rear
leg. Cut femoral artery blood was shooting out about 3 feet. Shot once more and missed, moose ran another 50 feet and collapsed. Alberta Canada. None
of the Trophy Bonded Tipped bullets we recovered.

Was in RSA for four weeks last year. Shot 55 animals with them. Zebra and blue wildebeest are a good test of bullets. Got around 20 total. All were with a single shot. Couldn’t ask for more. Also got warthogs, black wildebeest, and springboks.

hanco, PM sent. I have 97 available.
