I’m looking at ordering a pair of these. Does anyone have experience with these particular boots?

I do.

I sent them back because the eyelets would bend while on my first hunt with them.

Got my money back and have no intention of buying anymore.

Curiously what brand packs are you using these days and what brand boots?

My Hanwags from them have held up really well over the years but sooner or later...

I sure do like the fitting service though, when you are rural, you often have no real choice in things like that. Able to wear and then send back to tweak etc...

I’m using HanWags with Synergy Footbeds fitted by Lathrop & Sons.

I’m certainly not the biggest fan of ball bearing eyelets.

Pathfinder, thanks for the reply.

That was supposed to be directed at SU35, IIRC he is pretty tough on gear. But its nice knowing what others are using too

I was wondering why you were asking about my pack. :-) I use Stone Glacier by the way. :-)

Ordered a pair of Hanwags and sent in a foot trace. When I received their "custom fitted , secretly fitted by years of experience boots" all I got was a set of off the shelf boots with an overpriced insole. Sent them back. Bought a pair of Hanwags with enough room in them for Sole Signature insoles. After heating them in the oven and molding them to my feet they fit much better than what I received from Lathrop. Solved my plantar fasciatis at much less cost.
