Today was day one of phase one (of four) heading to ketosis. My wife and I are doing it via a program from our GP. Dinner was orange roughy and green beans. Time for our long discussed lifestyle change to get kick started.

Grilled ribeye, corn on the cob, and salt potatoes. The steaks I picked out are "too thick" for my grandma so she had pizza. More for me!

You’ll know when you’re in it.. also don’t bother buying all the keto gimmicks.. ketones are produced by the body for free, drinking expensive concoctions with ketones does nothing.. stick with it it’ll shed weight FAST

Well I dunno why she don’t order them, I chicken fried a pair (Whole time I was thinking about you Jim Conrad!). They were awesome, tender, and easy on my choppers! Fresh garden green beans, radishes, and creamed potatoes to complement them! It was yum!

Glad that turned out for you!

That looks proper, Fats!

Whooped up a quick soup tonight.

An onion, some garlic, and a couple big turnips all diced and simmer in a pot with some olive oil. A pound of ground turkey and some Italian seasoning added. About a quart or so of chicken stock, couple cans of kidney beans, and a whole bag of baby spinach shredded and tossed in. I did thicken just a bit with some starch.

Came out super tasty. Love me some parsnips!

I would too Paul, especially the stuff you and your wife fix. That looks to me like homemade bean and bacon soup, which is my favorite meal. With cornbread of course.

Homemade hambone stock for them beans as well Tex. Broke open the bones and scooped out the marrow as well when done.

And yes I have a secret suspicion that Paul and his wife have their own James Beard chef onsite. grin
