I always apply for Kentucky Bull and Cow rifle tags, as does my son. I was drawn for Cow in 2010. (Successful). Son has applied every year since the lottery started and has never been drawn. It’s a tough draw!
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

Holy moly I got drawn for a cow firearm tag!!!! Second season. Anyone with some intel would be appreciated. I live in southwest Indiana near Evansville so it looks like I’ll be headed to eastern Kentucky to scout.
Congrats!! Good luck on the hunt. I live in Haubstadt, so you can't be too far away...

Haha I remember being so excited when Wyoming went points 13 or so years ago, getting In on the ground floor. 13 years later I’m still 20 years from the top tier tags... states like Oregon and Utah a guy will never draw the top tags with even 1 point under max... of course there are other “good” hunts to be had, but the primo tags are basically oil tags What is an “oil tag”?

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.

I put in for Kentucky elk too, and have never been drawn. I am unsure how many years I have attempted.
As far as going to a point system...be careful what you wish for... Ooooh Ted is exactly right.... I wish every state was like Idaho and new Mexico... No points up here either.. for yrs was talk about a points system, but it never happened. I'm glad too, because kids would never draw a tag or new hunters etc. I remember when oregon went to a points system we all were like hell yeah.. Until the unit we hunted deer in, in our hometown we could no longer draw with no points or even 1. If we didn't draw off too the mt hood national forest in good ol Santiam unit hunting black tail up by Timothy lake with all the other folks who didn't draw a tag lol..
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

I got lucky and got a cow elk rifle tag week 1. I am excited as I have put in bull cow rifle and bow every year since it started.

Congrats to you. I guess I need to start putting in for a cow tag, as I had a fellow tell me last week that if I ever ate some elk meat, I'd want more. He says it's 10 times better than any deer.
