Looking at two readily available options...

Zeiss terra 3, 3x9x42, $200

,Nikon prostaff 5 , 2.5x10x42, $229

Any owner opinions welcome. Going to use on a.308 bolt gun for deer hunting woods, shots less than 100 yds.

Find a used Leupold VX-1, VX-2 or Redfield Revolution. Great set and forget hunting scopes with forgiving eye box.

Call around and ask for discounts. I bet you can get one sub-$140; spend the difference on good mounts.

Agree on the Fullfield. I like the E1 in the regular plex
