Picked up a birch stocked sporter used a couple months back. Came with a V7. Anyway, picked up a GM barrel, brimstone tier 2 trigger group, volquartsen tune up kit, kidd charging assembly, bedded the action...and painted the stock with some krylon. May swap out the scope but I'll see how it does first.

Bottom pic I messsed around with a factory carbine stock, recarved the grip for the kids, cut off the barrel band portion and added a walnut endcap.

Try the Ruger American style stock in the high comb module installed. The higher comb helps with consistent cheek weld that puts your right eye just where you want it to be when you bring the rifle to your shoulder. The American style stock have four module options, standard and short LOP, high and low comb height, that are almost instantly replaceable in only a minute or so.

So far, Ruger has made these stocks in three colors; black, copper mica, and green. S&P Outfitters has the green stocks with a standard LOP low comb module for $50 or a black stock with a short/youth LOP low comb module for $55. Ruger sells the modules and they are regularly on eBay for between $25 and $30.

I've put these stocks on several 10/22s and they have become my favorite non-mannlicher 10/22 stock.

Nice looking rifle! Really like the modified shape of the stock. How does it shoot with the upgrades?

Did a quick sight in leaning on the bed rail of the truck. Covered 10 shots of cci standards with a quarter @50 a few times. Didn't bring the bench/rest with me but I'll really test it out at some point. And since I was next to a pond, had some fun with some turtles. Gonna be a fun little plinker.
