Looks like I'll finally be able to take the boat out tomorrow and chase some walleyes. I've been fishless for about 2 months and I am jonesing big time. I heard the bite was warming up so hopefully we have a great day. kids don't have school so we'll be hitting the water at first light. I'll try to remember to get some pics wink

We caught 1 today and had to release it. Water is still cold and murky. Gonna try bottom bouncers Sunday I think

Had some motor problems yesterday. The starter turned, but would not engage. Came home afterwards and did a little on line research. Turns out it was as simple as putting a drop of oil on the starter shaft. Nice to have a cheap fix work for a change. The trolling motor ran good. Fished for about 4 hours but no luck.

I have to get the boat ready to sell. Charging the batteries now. Get all my gear out of it and fire it up with fresh gas.

Similar to my Alumacraft when I pulled the carpet. In fact Paul, it appears to be the exact same layout!!

As you've probably already done, run some new wiring and set up some LED lighting in there now.

a big conduit from bow to stern is nice, same with access panels to be able to feed wires and hoses.

I think I'm going to have to do the same stuff to my boat once I get the motor running, decent.

Time to head north and do some fishing. Heading for Namakan next week and a week of camping in V.N.P. Hope to catch a few eaters and enjoy the view. Anyone have any reports to share?

We were out yesterday and did pretty well. The big girls were hungry. It was like we were in WI!

Good eatin' right there. We're picking up our new boat tomorrow. Hopefully be putting a small dent in the 'eye population in Lake E next weekend.
