Not familiar with that one. But I could use a little brass as well. Where did you get them?

My understanding is Fed Non-Typical is Fed Blue Box with different packaging. That's not a bad thing.

That’s exactly what it is. And they introduced it at some great prices. The 243 mentioned above is $15.99 on our shelves. I don’t know what everybody else is seeing price wise, but it’s the most affordable, quality centerfire rifle ammunition we have on the shelf.

I agree. I have ordered two boxes, if it shoots well in my rifle, I will definitely stock up.

Shot a box of 308 non typical today. Shot as well as federal always does for me, great. I gotta say though, I kinda prefer the old blue packaging.

I sells here for 10% less than the blue box, minimum. I can live with the packaging!

I haven’t shot anything since it was rebranded to Non-Typical, but I shot several deer with it when it came in the blue box in 30-30, 270, and 308. About what you’d expect, nearly identical to the Remington Core-Loct, Winchester Power Point or Hornady Interlock. Good expansion with adequate penetration. 150s in the 308 and 130s in the 270 would *usually* not exit the animal. Heavier bullets usually would. The 30-30 rarely exited. I’d say over half of the bullets would separate jacket from the core. Not such a bad thing for deer, could be an issue if you’re trying to shoot bigger things. Quick kills with good shot placement, not excessive meat damage.

Federal brass is a little heaver than either Remington or Winchester. Other than that, just fine.
