Has anyone retrofitted throttle body injection to a carbureted engine? I have a Buick 231 V-6 going into an old jeep and some guys have said TBI is the way to go---way better than carbureted, especially for self-adjusting mixture at altitude. The retrofit isn't cheap though.

I haven’t done it but the guys on the old Ford forums speak well of Quickfuel.

I’d think if there was ever a TBI version of that engine a guy could just grab the whole setup off an old junker in the salvage yard and mount the control box on the fender well. I’m not a Buick aficionado so I don’t know what years that engine was used or if it was ever offered with fuel injection.

the Holley projection seems rather painless.
But seems like a 4.3L TBI swap would be the better long term way to go.
the 4.3 produces decent power, easy parts, lighter than a V-8,

But the Buick Odd fire wins in cool points at least in my mind.

There are a lot of aftermarket TBI systems. Go to Summit or Jegs and check some of them out.

I have a fairly mild SBC 383 stoker in my Camaro. Currently it has an Edelbrock AVS 650 carb. I'm still working on it, body and interior. Once I'm ready to drive it regularly I'm going with some type of TBI unit.

I have looked into one for my 360 2 barrel intake. one has an in tank pump you have to install in a new hole. Then all new fuel lines. If I remember the specs the 2 barrel TBI was good to almost 500HP.
