For you folks that have numerous .22 rifles, do you shoot them all, or just a select few?? I realized I have a bunch of rimfires.. My two favorites are CZ's.. One in long rifle one in .22 mag.. Coming up a distant third is my CZ 17hmr... In addition I have a number of good .22 rifles.. The CZ's are the ones I usually pick up... But this summer I am going to try and give them all some field time.. Have a 10/22 I bet hasn't had 200 rds down the barrel and I have had it five or six years.. Do you rotate or just stick with the favorites...????

I have around 50 .22 rifles and shoot half of them fairly regularly.

I've put together 5 10/22s in different configurations so far this year and need to go to the range with a couple of them at a time to see what brand/style of ammo shoots the best groups.

If the weather is hot/humid I prefer to take stainless rifles to the range or afield, so the blued CM rifles mostly stay home from May thru October.

Now that 17HM2 ammo is commonly available and reasonably priced, I shoot three of them quite often.

WyoCoyoteHunter: I have about 8 or 10 Rifles in 22 L.R. that fire over a carton (500'ish) of ammunition each every year.
Have another 10 or 12 that get fired only 50 rounds a year or less.
Then I have a couple dozen more that are now in the collector category and they do not get shot at all (Kimbers of Oregon, pre-64 Winchesters, old Marlin lever guns etc ).
I am with 260Remguy in that I am just ecstatic that 17 Mach2 ammo is readily available now!
Have had two of my three 17 Mach2's out this year so far (Anschutz heavy barrel 1502 & Kimber Model 17 SVT heavy barrel), super fun and super efficient these little gems!
Long live rimfires!

I have ten .22LR rifles, and shoot them all regularly, including the six rifles I took to the range this morning. Two of those were .22 Magnums, but the others were all .22LR. Most of mine are CZs, but I've got three Rugers, too. I have a couple Marlins, a Remington M24, and Dad's old Stevens, but those are semi-retired. I generally shoot them ALL at least once a year, though.

Six CZs, two 452s, two 455s, and two 512s, two RARs and a 10/22 get shot nearly every week.

Most of the 22 rimfires get shot quite a bit at paper targets. My 17 hmr’s and WSM ‘s also get shot quite a bit at animals. Have three Win 69 rifles and just got one with grooves set up with a scope. Will shoot that quite a bit this summer.

When I have time for the range, I almost always take rimfire(s) along or just shoot rimfire s.
That said, I have some that I've picked up and never shot. If I could shoot around my house, that would not be true.

2 Remington 513's, a 10/22, a Win 1890 in .22 WRF, a 9422m and two barrels for Contender frames. They have all been shot this calendar year, but the 9422m has the least mileage. They see use according to need.

I have a handful of rimfires and I treat the the same as the rest of my guns with few exceptions. Picking the gun that goes with me on a given day is more of a mood. Sometimes a rifle may sit in the safe for years and then get used all season. I can’t tell you why. Just the way it is.

I have a big bunch of them. Mostly higher end stuff and classic target rifles, with a few hardware store grade guns because, well, they're insidious. I don't shoot any of them "a lot" in terms of what I see the 'Fire Cowboys doing but collectively with them I put a pretty fair amount of .22 bullets downrange. While I like to plink as much as the next guy, I get greater satisfaction from slow measured fire going for accuracy on paper targets. To that end I digest a high ratio of premo target ammo versus cheap plinking ammo and if nothing else that factor alone keeps my .22 shooting at a more sedate level.

I have more .22s than a person should but I do rotate shooting them. Have 2-3 shoots per week and typically a shoot or to on the weekends that I can attend and shoot a different rifle fairly often....may actually become a good shot if I could stick with just one😄.....but what’s the fun in that??!

All of mine get shot some each year but three or four of them get shot a lot. Just depends on which one I feel like shooting at the time.

My 22lr ammo supply is down more than 5,000 rounds this year...only one has not been shot this year.

I have matched pairs of a couple & the second ones or back ups rarely get shot. Other than that, the other dozen or so get rotated around pretty good.

But to be completely honest, the newest one gets the most attention for awhile, depending on how much I like. I always go back to old friends though.

Yeah, last week I bought a CZ 512M, and have been trying to wear it out, but I always seem to go back to some of the older "friends" I've had awhile. Last week, I even broke out my 47 year old Marlin M60 for a little practice session. My main shooting rifles are a bunch of CZ boltguns, though, they shoot really well and I just enjoy the quality. A couple of RARs get some work, too. My pairs aren't matched, though, the 452 American is nothing like the 452 Scout, nor is the 455 Stainless Synthetic anything like the 455 Scout, the 512s aren't matched exactly, either, but both are a real treat to shoot.

They all get shot....... Some more often than others. There's a couple that might not see any use in a year or two..... Then I just gotta get 'em out if I feel it's been too long.

I like the everyday guns like the 510 series, 67's, 68's, leaning toward single shots. They all take turns at the range but the 541-S, 10/22 and MkI Ruger always go with me.

I shoot one till it's too dirty to shoot anymore then trade it for a clean one... then spend a rainy day cleaning rifles when I can bring myself to do it...

I shoot my 77/22 quite a bit because I like the way the stock handles, I shoot my CZ more because I love the action and magazine so much more, if I had that Ruger stock on a CZ 452 action I would only own one 22
