Anyone know if a 2017 2500 Dodge crewcab pickup and 2016 1500 crewcab with the same bed length shares essentially the same bed?
Looking at a camper shell that came off the 2500. Wondering if it will match up with a 1500 we have.

Was it long or short bed? Can't answer but the big reason I did not buy a Dodge this past year is they cut their short bed down by 3".

Both beds are the ~6 1/2 foot bed. Think the official measure is 6’4” maybe.

2500 bed is longer as far as I know. Difference in length is between the rear wheel arch and the front of the bed. Google image them both and you’ll see what I mean. The fuel door and dimensions in front of and behind it are different.

Do some searching for the specific pickup dimensions. For example, a quick search on '19 Dodges showed that a 1500 has a 140.5" wheelbase while the 2500 is 149.3. The bed length was the same but the wheel wells aren't in the same place. They list the bed width at the wall as 60" for the 1500 and 66" for the 2500. They don't mention the width of the top rails, though.

Call the company that made the camper shell. They ought to know.
