I have a G40 and like it a lot. I'd like a smaller 10mm Glock. No, I don't want to trade or otherwise part with the G40. Sorry.

Anyone have one of the smaller 10mm's they want to part with...?

Figured I'd toss it out there. I found a couple locally for what appears to be reasonable pricing. Before I jumped, though, figured I'd toss a WTB on here and see what comes of it.

I'm back and forth from the 20 to the 29. Ask me which I prefer now, then again in an hour, you'll likely get a different answer. So both are of interest.

If not, that's ok. Just figured it was worth an ask before buying one elsewhere.

Had a G29. Wanted to like it. If you’re looking to load true Norma-level 10mm loads, I strongly recommend the G20. I found the short barrel of the G29 hindered proper 10mm speeds and the action was a little finicky with fire-breathing loads.

The G20 really lets me go hot on my loads and if I want more, I put the extended barrel in for extra fps.

If you’re gonna shoot mostly factory 10mm loads, the G29 will be fine.

I run Underwood’s 180 Gold Dot load for carry ammo. Obviously it’s not bad in the G40. I was planning to use g20 mags with the body extensions if I went with a g29, which gives it a full grip. This won’t be used for ccw purposes.

I carry daily with the G29 with the factory barrel and the #17lb recoil spring with Buffalo Bore and Double Tap loadings of various bullet weights with no issues. I also have a KKM match barrel & Wolff recoil rod & springs of different weights for various loads for use in range training.
I find using the Pearce magazine grip extension just fine for CCW carry & my big hands. If you do not want to daily CCW with the 10mm, then the G20 would be the way to go, for sure.

Cabela's near me had a very, very lightly used gen3 G20 that I got out the door for $429. There's hardly a mark on it. I could not find anything similar for under $530-$550 till it would be shipped, background check fees, etc. At least, not in a Gen3 or later. Gen2's can be had for a lower cost.
