Somehow I managed to move him enough on my own to skin him! I am a big pussy smile I did have to go in the next day to pack out the meet and had my buddy help! I got to my truck at midnight with the head and hide. 4 miles one way my vagina was sore!

Good on you. I too have done some solo DIY bear hunts. For the most part I have used a 300 Win Mag (to great effect) but if I were doing it over I would go with the 30 Nosler. Tell us about your load
