Need some insoles. What do you suggest? Where do I buy them? Looking for a really good pair. They are for my hunting/hiking boots. I have been putting some miles on recently and my heels are begging for mercy.

Imo, the DR SCHOLL'S insoles that are specifically made for wearing in the restaurant trade & for working long hours on concrete are HARD TO BEAT, IF you have room in your boots for the insoles.. = I have them in all my shoes/boots.
I find that I need a half-size larger in shoes/boots, as they are rather thick, especially in the heel area...

Wal-Mart & lots of other places sell them. - They won't be hard to find.

I’ve had pretty good luck with Superfeet. I use the green due to a high arch but have heard the blue and carbon are nice also.

Superfeet Green is the standard recommendation but is a thicker insole so know they will take up a little space in the boot. The blue is a little lower. The carbon is the thinnest and takes up the least space by far. The amount of "wiggle room" in your shoe should be part of the decision on which one you'll want to use. I use the Green in my daily shoes and the carbon in olympic lifting shoes.

They can be heated and molded if you desire. I've found over the last several years that even though the out of the box arch on them is higher than my normal arch, at the end of a hard use day my feet feel better when I use them. I've never heated or changed them from the out of the box size.

I’ve been quite happy with Superfeet Green and Guide.

I am using the powerstep pulse maxx in almost all of my shoes and boots now.
They felt better to me than the super feet ones.

I use D. Scholls,but use the ones for Plantar Facitis(sp) if your heels are hurting. I have them in every pair of boots,shoes, slippers I have It has worked wonder. About $12/set.

They are thicker in the heel area because of the padding needed and have more arch support which you need for the Plantar Facitis.They also have them that are 3/4 length for use in dress shoes or tighter fitting boots

I've used Superfeet, SOLE, and some others. My favorite, but a long way, are the Synergy footbeds from Lathrop and Sons.

SOLE Performance. Warm in oven and they conform to your foot. Solved my plantar fasciitis.

My neighbor is a podiatrist. He just make a set of custom orthotics for my wife and I. I am amazed at the quality and support. $100 a set . He scanned my feet with a digital scanner, made some notes and emailed it to the folks in St. George UT. I'm going to get a second set with leather tops and a 3rd set thinner for dress shoes. If your insoles come out, use these, if not, gotta use the thin ones. All the Dr. Scholls and others are nothing compared to custom ones.

When I asked for assistance I was enroute out west for a hiking trip. I stopped at a cabelas and bought a pair of Super feet guide insoles. They did not help a whole lot but they did help. I stopped at a store that sells hiking boots. I spoke to the female clerk who knew aloooot about hiking boots.
I told her I had Oboz Bridger hiking boots and told her of my heels hurting. She asked about the use and mileage. I told her I had quite a bit of mileage on them. She said she believed I had crushed them out.
I was thinking she was right and asked her what she would suggest. She recommended the Hanwag Tatra ll GTX. She went into detail about the design and quality of the Hanwag. When she got done I was sold on the boot and bought a pair. I’ve worn the new boots some and they feel great.
If these don’t cure my heels from hurting I’m going to get a custom set of insoles built.
Right now based on the mileage of my Oboz’s I believe they are worn out.

I just ordered another set of custom insoles- this pair with leather tops.

lol, half the world plus stands on their feet for a living. My parents loved powersteps. Super feet or SOFSOLE have worked well for me.

I ordered a pair for my work shoes, and I have to say that they are excellent on cement...I also have the green Superfeet but to be honest am not that pleased with them.
