The Snake River was running high and fast, but we found a few fish in some of the side branches in water that was so clear you had to sneak up on them to have a chance. Layne struck "gold" using a spinning rod with 4# test and a jig that he tied himself. The two cutthroats were 19" and 20". After a few quick pictures both were quickly released back into the stream for another angler to enjoy. Even saw three moose on our hike back to the car to add to what was already a fun adventure. Grateful for the afternoon to make a few memories in a beautiful place...

About 20 years ago I go chased off of Pacific Creek by a cow moose with a calf not far from where you were fishing.

Gold color Trout Magnets with a pink or while grub and a clear casting bubble half filled with water for casting weight work great in those small clear waters.

Beautiful fish and view property in every direction. While I was out fishing as well, I'm still envious.

Thanks, guys. I will pass your compliments along to Layne.

260Remguy - I'm glad we didn't meet any moose like you encountered in that area!

I wanna try that one day.

Whole different type of fishing than in these parts. (Mississippi). Plus the view is incredible.
