How did the Gold Dot perform other than you have a dead blackbuck? I'm itching to try the 75 gr Gold Dot ammo in my AR. I just need time to get to the lease.

Killed a few critters with the Gold Dot now..performance has been flawless...seems ideal for even large deer sized critters...

Good deal! My AR shoots the 75 grainers under 1 MOA and I'm itching to try it on some hogs and sheep.

Too much horn there to even think of putting that into the "Dinkathon"

Is it a buck, bull or ram ? I never know when it comes to antelope. Everything is called something different over there.

I don't think any of them have ever seen Africa since they're native to India. I see them by the hundreds on my way home from work every evening. Some big ones running around too. I counted over 100 in one pasture one evening. I don't know how many axis were in that pasture, but there were more axis than blackbuck. The owner won't let anyone hunt them, nor will he let any of the local trappers trap a few for sale.

Ingwe, tell me about that .223 AI. Is that a Remington Model 7 that you had reamed to AI? What kind of velocities are you getting and is it very accurate? I'm considering having a .223 AI put together.

That one is a 700 reamed out to .223AI...it will hit 3573fps with a 55 grain bullet, though most loads are closer to 3300 fps. Its the factory 1 in 12 twist barrel, cause I dont shoot heavy bullets in it, and it is the most accurate rifle I own.
