Just my opinion but I'd say $600-700 for just the blued synthetic. The Ultra Light six lugs go higher.

Guy wants 949 for it. It has been sitting in his shop for eons. He has a BNIB Accumark ..not the newest one but the previous version in 240 for 1499. The accumark is nice, he is not moving on either and I didn't walk out of the store with one either

I dont blame you OE, I would have also walked out of there empty-handed. I think he is a little too proud of those two rifles......Hb

Yeah a tad high priced and while I like that cartridge and caliber do not like it that much. I much prefer the 257,270 or 7mm Weatherby cartridges.

I think the 240 WBY Mag is an over looked caliber.......Hand loading and tweaking the upper and the lower bullet wts.gives you a large variety of game that you can enjoy hunting.......very effective cal....I own -3- Accumarks -1- 257 WBY Mag, -2- 30-378 WBY Mags........1500 want get any of the 3.......

I like mine. It's great with 100 NPT's over MRP, like half MOA at 400 yds. Great pronghorn, WT and hog round.

But it's an HS Precision, not a Wby. Traded for it used, won't buy new HS stuff based on principle because of the Ron Horiuchi fiasco. Google that one if not familiar with HS and what they did.

I would agree with DB, $6-700, maybe $750. If you take a look at GB, Auction Arms etc, if they are listed higher, they sit for a while. The accumark, he's in the neighborhood but its not a good deal

I think the market is generally soft, more of a buyers market.

Not all sellers realize that and their overpriced stuff can sit for a long time.

If a piece has been on the shelf/for sale too long, sometimes you can approach the vendor, suggest that it's been there for a long time and hasn't moved. That gives you the opening to make a reasonable offer. They can counter or reject your offer. Some may realize you're right and take it.

I've had that strategy work in past deals.
