... Swede ! Decided a while back to have a nice wood blue Left Hand rifle built. Collected parts on the 'Fire, AR and GB. And sent them off to Mr. Jim Kobe to be turned, carved and fitted. Turned out like this: Not the greatest pics. But, best I can do today. LH Zastava action, Krieger 1:8" barrel at 24", Timney trigger, Gentry LH 3 pos safety, Jerry Fisher round bottom straddle floor plate, stock blank from Aaron Little over on AR. A little over 8 lbs scoped. Still need to do load work up. But, looks good and feels great in the hand. And, no apologies for the "old school" chambering... Thank you, Mr. Kobe.

Jim does great work. Love that caliber and its perfect in a blued action and pretty wood stock. Well done.

Leupold, standard bases, 1" low (I think) rings. Still have enough clearance between bolt handle and ocular bell to come down another 0.100" without contact. May try a set of Dual Dove tail bases and 1" super low DD rings. Would like to move the rear ring back a little on the scope tube. Still a little tinkering to do.

How long did this take once everything was in hand?

Good looking rig. I really like shooting the ppu match ammo outta mine. Cheap, consistently 1/2 to 3/4 moa and the brass is fairly nice to reload. I believe it's 129 gr. Stuff and I get it from SGammo. Still haven't worked up a hunting load I like for my 6.5*55

Beautiful gun in an overlooked classic caliber. I use H4350 for the 140 class bullets but many are going to R26 for more speed. I kinda like that people overlook it, I started with it and tried others and came back to the Swede. I’m not much for being like everyone else.

Nice looking rifle. The Swede is sooooo nice to shoot. With that 06 length magazine you could shoot about any length bullet you like but the 140 covers most applications. Me likey.

What is standard? The 140? The classic load is the 160 at 2350 - 2400 fps but with modern bullets the 140 works on about everything.

Sweet Rifle and good choice on the cartridge. Glade you didn't give in to any 6.5 fad cartridges.
