I know some guys that are very happy with theirs.

Russian, Chinese, Columbian.....? All the above. If they're mean spirited or just flat out unhappy they run off and do their thing. If they're nice and objective they stay. Enjoy the live they've been gifted. Just depends.

When I was stationed in Caracas, about HALF of the single GIs in our unit got married to a local LOVELY. - As far as I know, all of them are relatively happy & still married to the same VZ lady.
(Caracas has many STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL ladies. - It's NO coincidence that MANY international pageant winners are Venezuelan.)
Also, one of my old Mike Papas married a 15YO Vietnamese girl when he was a 20YO CPL/E-4. = They are still married.
He is now a retired CSM & Mei Li is a MD, Pediatrician in Dallas.
