I put a .308 on layaway to replace the rifle I'm giving my son. Have too much brass, bullets, etc to just dump that cartridge, even though I've been using others lately. Once my other new stuff gets some attention, it's coming home.

Based on appearance, the Henry looks like a winner. Time will tell.

I have H010 and H010CC (45/70 blue and case colors) and love them both.

The short, round-barreled H010 is so handy and light, and the octagon-barreled H010CC is an off-hand shooter's dream.

Skinner peeps on both.

I'd be interested in knowing how long the throat is on that H015. Hopefully long enough to take advantage of no action limitations.

Enjoy your Henry!

Did you have to change the front sight to use the peep?

No sir. Factory front sight works on both of them with the Skinner!

The Weaver 82 scope base is listed for these guns but it's fugly with that odd flat spot at the rear and only two slots. I picked up a Leupold 56515 scope base. Fits perfect and has three better usable slots. I'd add pics but I can't use the wonky photo thing here...
