Is this citizen question on the census a diversion or smoke screen for something?

I’m not too keen on this census stuff but I do know from researching ancestry the results ain’t released for like three quarters of a century...How in the hell is the citizenship question relevant to the now?

No it's the friggin census. Citizenship questions have never been an issue before Trump. They're fighting with all their might against every thing Trump stands for and it just happens to be AMERICA.

Citizenship questions have always been on the census until obama removed the question in 2010.

Representatives are allotted according to the population of the district they're from. The number of representatives of a state impacts that state number of Electoral votes.
A higher number of people (like California) gives that state more power in congress and more importance in Presidential elections.
Based on citizenship, as the founders intended. But the democrats are after power at any price. Higher numbers of illegals in the census gives states like California disproportionate to what it should be.

All I tell them is how many people live in my house (an enumeration as per our constitution). All questionnaire go in the trash. Ymmv.

So actually the census should count citizens so the representatives can represent them, not foreigners

Never had a census taker visit my home. They've missed us twice. Talked about this the other day, my in laws lived in the same house since 1969. Only recall one census worker visiting them.

And we're not that way out in the sticks. Not like the shîtholes in the middle of nowhere out west with the dead horse in the ditch beside the mailbox I seen outside Page Az.

When I came to this country it was a question on the census and further more I had to report every I Jan. where I live and where I worked and if any thing change during the year I had to up date my info. so what is the big deal about asking the question so the Gov't. know is eligible to vote and who is not sure would cut out the fraud!! The 2,020 "census" will be used to ascertain the "citizen" populations of states and congressional districts partly for the VERY important purpose of deciding how many "congressmen/women will be elected from each state.
These numbers change you know!
The "word" is kalifornicationkopia has about 3 or 4 to many congress critters due to "illegal aliens" being counted in the prior census.
It would do my heart good to see the congressional delegation from kalifornicationkopia cut down to its "legal" number!
Plus I think its time that the great state of Montana gets a "second" congress person - right now we just have one.

I read that CA has 5 more Reps than it woud have if the illegals were taken out of the count. No doubt some other states are also misrepresented.

I heard on a radio program today that an estimated 14% of people living in th US are illegals. That sounds a little high, as does 12-20 million sounding low. Like bears, those critters are hard to count (and we should!) but theer are generally 3-4 times as many out there as the best estimates.

If they can't speak English, that might be a clue. (Not the bears, of course. ).

If you live in a red (republican) state, you should put down that you have at least 15 or more people, all of voting age, living with you. This would increase conservative representation in congress.

The left, democrats, liberals, communist, socialist, islamites, the news media, and globalist want power/control of the American people. They hate Americans, the Constitution, and the USA. They want all the illegals to look like citizens so the democrats can get more representation in congress.
