Do any of you guys have any experience with, or could recommend a good bullet/load for deer out of a 41 Mag levergun? I ran across a good deal on a Henry Big Boy Steel model with the 20” barrel. Most all the load data I scoured was for pistols. Just wondering if any of you have any good info/tips for the rifle side of things.
Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.

Nothing scientific here but I have killed one medium sized mule deer with my Marlin 1894S .41 Magnum, using a 210 grains Sierra JHP bullet in front of 18.0 grains of 2400. Worked just fine in my Marlin. The shot was at about 60 yards, broadside. One round and he was down. I'm not familiar with the Henry.
Good luck.

What Leanwolf said . I've killed half a dozen or so Whitetail does with almost that exact recipe 210 gr XTP and 17.5 gr 2400. Was using a Ruger Redhawk. But that that load works very well in my Marlin 1894.
