Thinking about trying a 3-9 accupoint as it checks off a lot of boxes for me. I am looking for something with decent glass and that is lightweight and reliable. The reticle is also a plus for low light situations and I am looking to use this as a set and forget scope.

I have zero experience with Trijicon other than a few sets of pistol sights I have had over the years. Whats everyones take on the accupoint?

I have 3 of the 3-9 accupoints on various rifles. I have only had them for a couple years, but really like them thus far. I use them as set and forget as well, but when I have made adjustments they have been spot on. I did some research before I purchased them, and in the limited review I was able to find on them I never saw anything negative.

I have a few as well, the triangle ones. For me they took some getting used to having used crosshairs so much. I've had them for over 12 years or so. Optics are very clear and they are good in low light. I especially like them for bear on bait where shots will often come in low light the triangle is more visible than black crosshairs on black bear. The triangle does fade with fading light but is still pretty visible, but at dark it will not look as bright as a battery powered one. Even my oldest one is still bright and has not had to go back to be recharged , or whatever it is that they do to them after a certain number of years. In short I would not hesitate to recommend one if you like the reticle.

I use a 1.25-4 w/green triangle on my ‘fast mover’ hog AR. I don’t know of a faster, more versatile setup. Good glass, bullet proof. Where I’d disagree with the other posts is illum from the fiber/tritium: it’s BRIGHT....even with the fiber shut off, the tritium is almost too bright for night work. It’s far brighter than the lowest setting on the battery versions, to me.....but it’s always visible and FAST.
