So your saying you can tell a Texan, but you can’t tell em much. They're easy to spot. Always angry and can't figure out a proper tip. The Texan oil field trash in the Bakken also tends to be the most loud and obnoxious, while their big stupid lifted pickups are run off into the ditch after the first snowstorm.

Stxhunter,
I carry on (Fed) North Padre Seashore once a week or so whilst fishing or suntanning my weenie but that wasn’t the topic of discussion. Sure you can blast a human but you can’t jerk it on a game animal. Now I'm confused, are you talking about your gun or your wiener?

After reading about this depressing topic here, I'm leaving Texas and moving to Florida where I can hunt lizards or to Minnysoda where I can hopefully befriend some liberal immigrants to hunt and fish with. Texas sucks........... Especially the non-rural/country part of it. "UP" stands for Upper Peninsula. Of Michigan. To some of us, it stands for "Uber Poontang", but that might be for another thread, just like Johnny Loco's stuff about putting lotion on his wiener and jerking it on game animals.

I love it when people point out all of the negatives about Texas. Hopefully, this will keep a lot of people away.

Texas might be O. K. if it weren't for all the Texans. Still a lot of problems though. Yep, unlike Mi with mosques on every block, rite? We have a lot fewer Muslims than you have Mexicans. Ours work. Who owns your gas stations and 7-11s down there? You may not realize it but there is a healthy population of good hardworking mexicans in Texas and many who contribute greatly in our nations military endeavors with no hx of turning on our forces when engaged with the enemy in the middle east. Lot of folks in the EU felt similar to you and are now changing their mind re their mistake. Good luck. On visit to HEB, I had a cashier of Mexican descent tell me he was going to join the Marine Corps. He regaled in the recruiter’s words, “Texans make the best Marines.” Recruiters are specialists in telling recruits bullshit. They are well trained salesmen, and make good car salesmen when civilians! Brother in law from Oklahoma says ". Texans are just broke messicans on their way to Oklahoma".

Texas vs Florida. Ill take a Mexican over a Haitian. Texans and Cubans are a tie. Florida better fishing, Texas better hunting? Gitthefugkouttahere.

I pay no money. I have, by the grace of God, saved some peoples, or their relatives, eye from disease or injury or just became friends over years of treating their chronic ocular condition.
Often it has resulted in my hunting less than prime or top quality places for many years or i have been restricted only to does or small bucks or only birds and varmints.
Many years ago i often had no place to hunt other than some friends and relatives places in E Texas. Later, i did pay something like $1000 on a place a few years for turkey spring and fall, 4-5 deer with one to be a good buck and one cull, dove, quail, ..
AFAIC we all pay some price for our overpopulation whether to draw a tag or lease quality hunting.
Texas land owners are able to manage their game by cutting predator populations through effective methods. So far not a single Texan has been able to say how much they pay for their lease.

Got a question about Texas ... I truly don't know. Do you have clear water high mountain steams with trout fishing?

Jaguartx: While the state of Texas is in no way shape or form even near being "the greatest state" we all can take it for granted that it is 100 (one hundred!) times better than kalifornicationkopia! Head way north and a bit west to find the greatest state in our country. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I hunt on a 13,000 acre ranch north of Laredo for no charge. I also hunt on a 500 acre property in north Texas near the Red River for no charge. Just helping folks and not acting like a jackass seems to open doors. Will pay $2,500 to hunt Nilgai next spring. And then there is the view out my front door of them munching on the landscaping, but no hunting these.

I have a college bud in Weslaco and can go hunt nalgai free but i dont have enough room in my freezer for the meat. They need killing before the huisache greens in the spring.
I wish i had a good place to hunt big whitetails.
