No pure customs please, although I'd really like to have them, budget will not allow it.

May I suggest building one out of a savage 110 action?

I built mine and I am just under 850 with the tools and everything to do it, and it shoots very well with a variety of bullets. Around .75" 3 shot group at 100 yards with Berger 140 Grain Hunting Bullets, .5" 3 shot group with Sierra 140 Grain Game Kings and Nosler 130 Grain Accubonds.

I bought a used model 110 7mm rem mag at a pawn shop, bought an ER shaw 26" barrel from a member here on the sight, dropped it into a hogue full bed block stock, added a timney trigger that is right around 1lb, fluted bolted body, and an oversized bolt handle. My only complaint is, it is a heavy bugger at 11.25 pounds, but it is still a balanced rifle.

Put the entire thing together here on the kitchen table.

Just a thought.
