Very cool rifles Mart!

Mine might be this old M146 9.3x57 Husky. Think it’s a 1939 vintage.

Oldest hunting rifle is a M-69 Winchester .22 made probably in the mid 1930s . Oldest military rifle is a Winchester made U.S. Enfield M-1917 probably made in 1917 or 1918.

Great photos.

Mines an English double delivered January 1906, then a English made magazine rifle in 375 H&H Belted Magnum delivered March 1913. They still shoot well.

At one time, I had several rifles that were made prior to 1900, a 1866 Springfield 50-70, and a couple of 1891 Argentine Mausers. I never shot them, and knew that all they'd ever do would be take up space, so I decided I'd rather have something I would shot, so I sold them......a decision I've sometimes regretted.

These days, my oldest rifle is a 1906 Winchester 22. I looked up the date of manufacture once, and can't remember now, but it was an early made one. Next would probably be a Remington 241 Speedmaster, or an M1 Carbine.

As far as other guns go, I have an 1893 Winchester pump shotgun, and an old 12 gauge double barrel Essex with the Damascus barrels.

Not a rifle. Belgian trade shotgun. May have come across the plains when my family settled California in 1847.

Nice set up. I like it.

My oldest is a 1910 vintage .38-40 model 92 Win. It's tight, bore is shiny with a few pits. Shooting cowboy action loads, it grouped tighter than my new Marlin .45 Colt Cowboy. Not a bad legacy for an old rifle. This one has a shotgun type butt stock with steel butt plate. It had a vintage flip up type front sight that I sold for $50, replaced it with a Marble white front bead for CAS use. It's otherwise original.

That'd be a Winchester 1895 made in 1915. It was one of my better "oh, cool!" gun show finds.

Oldest rifle would be one of my ‘99 Savage takedowns, one a .303, the other a .22 HP. Oldest gun would probably be my Burgess shotgun.

The oldest I own is an 1869 Springfield Trapdoor. The oldest I've used hunting is a Winchester 1876 made in 1878. The next oldest are a pair of Metford rifles in 303 Brit- one a Martini and the other a Lee. I don't have an exact date but best guess is 1890 +/- a year. The next 4 are U.S. Krags, one 1894 the other 1896 and a pair of Lee/Navy rifles from around 1896.

I regularly use a 3 digit serial number Remington Autoloading rifle from late 1905. I hope to take a deer this year with one of my Savage 1899s, the 38/55 take down from 1907 or the 25/35 from 1909. I have a Winchester 1905 in 32 WSL from the same era but have no plans to shoot anything with it. I have a sporterized SMLE with a date stamp of 1905 and no charger bridge which I use as a "cabin gun" in case of bear problems at the cabin. The rear sight is calibrated for 215 gr bullets which made lighter ones a little challenging to use until I replaced the front sight.

The vast majority of my rifles are 50+ years old, maybe a dozen have been made since 1970.

Blacktailer, no sir, the gun didn't come across the plains in 1847. The Jones underlever action was not developed until the mid 1860's. 1847 was still muzzleloading days.

My oldest rifle is a German double rifle by E. Goldmann in Erfurt. It dates from the 1870's. Oldest shotgun is a Manton double in 16 bore from the 1840's best we can tell. It's getting to the point I have more pre-WWI rifles than post WWI......and I rather like it that way.
