Ive long been a detractor of Remington firearms and their subsidiaries. It seems everything they touch turns to [bleep]. Needed some cheap ammo for a 30-06 I have laying around, Corelokts were 12.00 a box, never had an issue with Corelokts or Remington ammo in general in the past. Guess name rubbbed off on the ammo too. In the end I ended up with enought to hopefulyy get the scop esighted in and a price per round that rivals 375HH Premium.

6 rounds with noticeably dented cases, several I wont even shoot, discolored primers, inconsistent seating depths......and brass that looks worse that range pickup.

Not to be glib, but why do you think it was 12$ a box? Haven’t run Remington ammo in forever because of its issues.

That looks even worse then the last batch of POS WW 30-06. GOing to go back to reloading 30-06 with Lapua brass from now on

Those dents will fire out and the primer should be fine. The one seated deeper I’d use as my first shot/fouler.
All that said I agree it was $12. Fire them and use the brass to reload.

Wow - you got three different colors of primers!

I've only ever gotten two.

Maybe they should label it 3rds and sell it for 12.00. Still minimum standards and this isnt it.

I agree it’s pretty bad QC. I do think those rounds are still safe to fire. I’d say shoot them since you already bought them.

What's the runout on that bad boy? Could likely measure it with a yardstick.

Might be handy on running game though, as long as it's running to the right.

In my younger days, I’d scrape off the lead that stuck out of the nose, square it off on a honing stone, and polish the case/bullet with Flitz....

Then count the days until hunting season....

Two words; Factory ammo. I used Core-Lokt as go to ammo for 26 years. It never failed me. I was too ignorant to know there was better as it just worked for my deer hunting needs. I started handloading later and that's when I recognized I could produce much better.

$12/box of Core-Lokts is cheap. Go forth and proper with it. It'll shoot well enough for hunting needs.

Just bought a box of Remington factory ammo today. Looks great. Different color primers are meaningless.

Ain’t that the truth! 👍

For Remington ammo it looks like the OP bought the Premium stuff. 😁
