I use Big Game almost exclusively in my loading for 7mm-08 with great results using 120 - 140 gr. Bullets. I have recently acquired a Barrett Fieldcraft chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor. My question, for Mule Deer and others has anyone tried BG with this chambering? I see a lot of chatter about RL16, RL17, and H4350, but very little mention of BG. Does this mean it won’t work?

Mule Deer,
I see in your “Big Book of Gun Gack” that you do show loads using Big Game, but only with light 100 gr. bullets. Is the Powder just not compatible for use with heavier bullets in this chambering? As I said, I have used BG with great results in my 7mm-08 with bullets up thru the 140’s.

I tried some with 143 gr ELD-X bullets a while back when H4350 wasn't easily available. It did OK for me, but about the time I started experimenting H4350 started showing up again. I think that had I tweaked things a bit and worked with is some more I'd have found good loads. But I've just stayed with H4350.

Got any "RL26 with the heavies" loads you'd be willing to share with us?

Thanks
I'd really be pushing my 6.5X55 to get 2700 with the 147's. I sit here holding both fired empty cases of 6.5CM and 6.5X55 and grinning. The 6.5CM sure is proving itself to me. Been having dificulty finding RL26 but when I do ...... Fun!
