Blame it all on fish. Last summer was a much smaller pilgrim circus. The sirens have been going for nearly 10 minutes. They almost are as loud as the traffic still racing through town. On a side note, managed to land a 6 pound sockeye on a #18 midge pupae being held to the end of the 6x tippet by a turtle knot. Kick in the pants on an old JK Fisher 4 wt. Been trying for a couple of years to manage one... The Hardy "Lightweight" was screaming something fierce...

Speaking of Anchorage traffic, Saw a wreck on the Old Seward today at 76th. Driver's side front tire was gone with no other obvious damage. Looked kind of funny down in a three point stance. Made me think it is a delicate piece of construction there.

My granddaughter (3) asked why they took the wheel off in the middle of the road... in complete exasperation because it was keeping us from Coldstone...

2 miles out of Soldotna yesterday on Sterling side, it was faster and easier making a left hand turn onto the highway across oncoming lane by making a right, going a block, making a left, a u-turn, then another right back onto the hghway. And safer. Do it all the time during tourourist season...if I don't have a light to go to. It takes less time if you take the time.......
